Gerry Luther Elected as Director for the Gulf Coast Industrial Hygiene Association
Gerry Luther was again elected as Director for the Gulf Coast Industrial Hygiene Association. The local sections of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) are the grassroots of the association. The mission of the Gulf Coast Section is to promote the purposes of the AIHA. The Gulf Coast Section's area includes counties in Texas from Port Lavaca to Beaumont, and Galveston to College Station.
Regular meetings of the Gulf Coast membership are held on the third Thursday of odd numbered months.
The purposes of AIHA are to:
- Promote the field of industrial hygiene
- Provide education and training
- Provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information
- Represent the interests of industrial hygienists and those they serve.

- The Gulf Coast Monitor - a semi-monthly newsletter
- Opportunities for committee involvement
- Access to local Job Information, and networking opportunities.
